Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System seeks an ER Attendant to support the Emergency Department by performing care activities and assisting the RN and physicians with urgent patient needs. The role operates under the supervision of a licensed nurse and includes clerical duties using computer systems.

You will participate in orientation and training of personnel. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and some college coursework preferred.

Overview

The ER Attendant performs various care activities and related services necessary in caring for the emergent and urgent needs and comfort of patients while assisting the RN and physician with functions in the Emergency Department. He/she works under the supervision of a licensed nurse. He/she performs other clerical duties using computer desktop applications. The ER Attendant participates in the orientation and training of personnel.
