Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, TX seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) for the Emergency Center on a PRN varied-hours basis. Under supervision, the APP assesses patient needs, plans and implements care, and coordinates support for patients and families.

The role requires leadership, critical care experience, and adherence to hospital policies. The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in an Advanced Practice program and Texas licensure eligibility, with prior emergency center

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Masters Level Program for Advanced Practice Provider or Nurse Practitioner.
• Must hold or be eligible for Texas State Licensure (i.e. Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and assist in planning and implementation of patient care.
• Provide patient and family support, coordination of care and education.
• Familiar with hospital mission, vision, policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
