Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Advanced Nursing Extern to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at Baptist Medical Center South. The extern will assist with selected clinical skills, data collection, and lab specimen collection in the fast-paced ED environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma, current enrollment in a nursing program, and completion of fundamental nursing coursework with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Must have completed Fundamentals of Nursing Care, Pharmacology, and Medication Administration in Nursing School.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Support the nursing department with technical skills, data collection, and lab specimen collection.
• May have additional duties within the scope of the role.
