Compensation: $145,000–$175,000 base + bonus

The Opportunity

An established Boston-based investment management firm is looking to add an Equity Traderto its investment team. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative investment organization and work closely with portfolio managers, research, operations, and compliance while taking an active role in daily trading and portfolio implementation. The firm is targeting someone with approximately 4+ years of institutional equity trading experience, ideally within an asset management or investment management environment.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys the fast-paced nature of the markets, takes ownership of execution, and wants to be closely connected to the broader investment and portfolio management process.

What You'll Do

• Execute equity trades across institutional client portfolios.
• Manage orders throughout the trading process, from initial review through execution and post-trade follow-up.
• Work directly with portfolio managers to efficiently implement investment decisions across client accounts.
• Monitor market conditions, liquidity, volume, and other factors that may impact execution.
• Communicate trading activity and relevant market information to portfolio managers and other investment professionals.
• Monitor open orders and resolve execution, allocation, or processing issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with operations to support accurate trade booking, allocations, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Maintain accurate trading records and ensure activity is consistent with portfolio guidelines and internal procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and other trading counterparties.
• Partner with investment, operations, and compliance teams throughout the trade lifecycle.
• Contribute to improvements in trading workflows, technology, and overall efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 4+ years of institutional equity trading experience.
• Previous experience within an asset management, investment management, or similar buy-side environment strongly preferred.
• Hands-on Ridgeline experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of equity markets, trade execution, order management, and the trade lifecycle.
• Experience working directly with portfolio managers and implementing portfolio-level trading decisions.
• Understanding of trade allocations, settlement, reconciliation, and post-trade processes.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate market conditions when executing trades.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to operate accurately in a time-sensitive environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across investment, operations, and compliance teams.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field preferred.

The position offers a base salary of $145,000–$175,000 plus bonus, depending on experience, along with a competitive benefits package.
