The Cboe Regulatory Division (the “Division”) is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Equity Surveillance Team. This team performs analysis of real-time and pattern-based surveillances to detect possible violations of Cboe BZX Exchange, Inc., Cboe BYX Exchange, Inc., Cboe EDGX Exchange, Inc, and Cboe EDGA Exchange, Inc. (collectively, the “Exchanges”) Rules and other applicable rules and regulations governing Exchange Members.

Your responsibilities will be:

  1. Conduct surveillance by analyzing and compiling data of securities traded on the Cboe Exchanges to detect possible violations of Cboe and SEC rules and policies.
  2. Assist in the maintenance of internal policies and procedures related to the Cboe Surveillance Program.
  3. Stay apprised of industry concepts and events to contribute in the creation of new surveillance concepts, operational methodologies, and surveillance techniques that address the Regulatory program’s concerns.
  4. Collaborate with various Cboe teams, particularly the regulatory technology and investigation teams, to further enhance the Regulatory Program.
  5. Build and maintain an understanding of the Cboe Exchanges’ regulatory environment, relevant rules and regulations, technologies and systems, processes and operational methodologies, investigative and examination techniques.
  6. Actively participate in team projects, discussions and problem solving.
  7. Actively participate in training/continuing education opportunities and meetings.
  8. Performs other related duties as required or requested.
  9. Attendance at the workplace in a traditional office environment will be required at times.

The ideal candidate has:

  1. Minimum Years of Work Experience: 2+ years
  2. Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree required; economics, business, accounting, computer science, or finance (preferred).
  3. Ability to work effectively and independently with all levels of management and staff.
  4. Must have written, analytical, and research skills and the ability to apply both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  5. Strong attention to detail, organization, and effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  6. Highly proficient in MS Office suite products.

You’ll really stand out with:

  1. Experience with Trade Surveillance software.
  2. Experience with relational databases (SQL, VBA, Access).
  3. Experience in the securities and trading industry.
  4. Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $72,250-$89,250. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:

US Geographic Differentials:

  1. 110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA
  2. 115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA
  3. 120%: Boston MA, Washington DC
  4. 125%: New York City NY
  5. 130%: San Francisco CA

Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, our total rewards program includes an annual variable pay program and benefits including healthcare (medical, dental and vision), 401(k) with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, paid time off, market-leading tuition assistance, and much more!
