This is a remote position. Incumbents, who reside in Florida only, may work remotely. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Lee Health location.
Senior Application Analyst Regulatory
The Senior Application Regulatory Analyst is responsible for providing operational oversight to ensure IS-supported systems adhere to healthcare IT regulations and facilitate workflows for regulatory compliance. They will leverage their technical expertise to mentor junior team members, share best practices, and guide Epic regulatory build.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Interpreting and communicating proposed regulations to prepare the organization for compliance and advising on the potential impact of new laws.
- Promoting awareness of regulatory requirements and their impact on IS.
- Building and maintaining Epic Quality dashboards and reporting workbench.
- Building and maintaining Physician Compensation Scorecard metrics for LPG.
- Providing stakeholders with performance updates and identifying opportunities to enhance scores and reduce risks.
- Leading regulatory initiatives to support large-scale organizational changes.
- Preparing, reviewing, and filing audit decision documents and other regulatory reports.
- Assisting with audits and DNV surveys as needed.
- Collaborating with internal groups such as Government Relations, Legal Services, Corporate Compliance, HIM Operations, Accreditation and QA, and Risk Management to develop regulatory policies and ensure alignment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participating in regulatory workgroups, steering committees, Epic Carrot calls, and other forums to maintain compliance.
- Meeting regularly with operational and IS leadership to share updates, project statuses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinating the deployment of regulatory Epic updates with IS.
Key Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in Epic EMR Regulatory analysis and build.
- Active certification in Epic Ambulatory and/or Epic Clinical Documentation.
- Experience with Epic quality measure build, troubleshooting, dashboard creation, scheduling backfills/incrementals, and QRDA file generation.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary compliance initiatives and projects.
- Familiarity with Federal Register, CMS, ONC, and other agency websites.
- Ability to clearly communicate regulatory and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proactive self-starter with the initiative to review and interpret new rules.
- Strong task prioritization and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented documentation and analysis abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Additional Experience Preferences:
- Knowledge of HEDIS, Value-Based Programs, MIPS, and MACRA.
- Epic Regulatory Reporting Badge(s).
