Job summary

Equitas Academy Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated teacher to lead rigorous math instruction at our Pico-Union campuses. You will deliver prepared lessons based on a rigorous, aligned curriculum and regularly communicate with families about student progress and behavior.

The ideal candidate holds a current Single Subject Math or Multiple Subject teaching credential and English Learner authorization, with a strong belief that all students can succeed, especially in low-income communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Current Single Subject Math or Multiple Subject teaching credential required (internship, preliminary, or clear) or out of state equivalent.
• English Learner authorization is required or permitted.

Responsibilities

• Lead rigorous math instruction aligned to the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum.
• Deliver prepared instructional materials and assess student progress.
• Communicate with families regarding behavior and academics.
• Maintain high expectations for academics and behavior.
• Participate in weekly professional development and school-wide initiatives.
• Contribute to culturally responsive and restorative practices in the classroom.
