Job summary

Everett Community College seeks an Associate Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences to lead planning, development, and management of programs including Fine and Performing Arts, Humanities, Communication Studies, Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences, and World Languages.

The role ensures equity-minded student success and aligns with college goals, reports to the Executive Dean of Transfer Education, and is eligible for hybrid work under the College’s Telework Policy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or closely related field
• At least three years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and academic leadership
• Experience supervising faculty and staff in a unionized environment
• Experience with diverse student populations and equity-minded leadership

Responsibilities

• Oversee Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences programs to align with industry standards and equity-focused student success
• Resolve disputes between instructors and students per college policies
• Evaluate instructional programming using data to close equity gaps and improve outcomes
• Support faculty through program review, assessment, and outcomes documentation
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and state regulations
• Supervise and develop faculty; manage workloads and recruitment
• Develop and manage budgets; coordinate resources and scheduling
• Promote collaboration and lead college committees as assigned
