Qualifications

• Eligibility for or possession of an Oregon School Social Worker license (TSPC).
• Ability to obtain/maintain credentials to serve as a School-Based Health Services provider in Oregon (NPI/Medicaid).
• Knowledge of school social work, child development, mental health, and related laws.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive school social work services to support academic success, attendance, and well-being.
• Develop and manage referral systems; assess factors affecting learning.
• Provide individual, group, and family interventions and crisis support.
• Monitor attendance, behavior, and academic progress; identify barriers early.
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and community partners to coordinate services.
• Conduct home visits as appropriate and engage families in partnerships.

Education

Oregon School Social Worker license

Credentials to serve as School-Based Health Services provider (NPI, Medicaid)

Knowledge of school social work practices and child welfare related laws
