Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Five years of Social Studies teaching experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a directly related field.
  • Knowledge of the educational system and current trends in education.
  • Knowledge of general financial processes and district initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage department-wide curriculum and programmatic projects in collaboration with the Director of Social Studies.
  • Establish and maintain systems for communication, implementation, monitoring, and feedback to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Promote equity in all aspects of the work so that every student has access to opportunities for growth and success.
  • Lead the planning and execution of special projects to align with district initiatives and priorities.
  • Develop curricular resources that support instructional initiatives and co-curricular projects.
  • Design, facilitate, and evaluate district-level professional learning and instructional programs leveraging technology.
  • Research, develop, and support new initiatives as directed by the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders for timely responses and coordination of services.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor program budgets to ensure responsible stewardship of resources.
