Job summary

Dallas Independent School District seeks a Coordinator II, Campus Support (RTP20260709-010) to provide ongoing consultation on curriculum, instruction, and interventions across campuses. You will organize professional learning, collaborate with district personnel and vendors, and monitor program effectiveness for students receiving special education services.

The role requires a Texas SPED certificate, a bachelor’s degree, and prior SPED teaching experience; a master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field; valid Texas teacher certificate with required Special Education endorsements; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of curriculum materials, instructional delivery and classroom management.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in special education program applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to align special education instructional standards with TEKS.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and oral format.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum trends, innovative programs and best practices for inclusive classrooms.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of structured teaching methodology and techniques.
  • Must have own transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-going consultation and technical assistance related to curriculum, instruction, and interventions.
  • Organize and lead professional learning opportunities for district approved intervention programs, initiatives and best practices.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with district personnel and outside vendors regarding interventions and instructional practices.
  • Monitor implementation and effectiveness of clearly defined programs, services, and interventions for students receiving special education services.
  • Collect and analyze district, campus and student data to assist in planning instructional programs, making informed instructional decisions, and monitoring program effectiveness.
  • Participate in curriculum training initiatives to develop districtwide special education processes.
  • Participate in curriculum development, instructional methodology and training initiatives.
  • Distribute and retrieve special education materials based on inventory documentation.
  • Identify research-based instructional materials and interventions based on student need and aligned with district and state standards.
  • Develop, facilitate, and assist in the management of professional development based on district, campus, teacher and student data.
  • Coordinate special education professional development as the professional development lead.
  • Ensure development and implementation of procedures are in compliance with federal, state and local policy.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
