Job summary

Abacus Group is seeking an Equity Compensation Principal to join our client’s team in Manhattan, NY, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on administering equity programs, processing transactions, and acting as the primary liaison for employee questions.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in equity compensation, experience with Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail. CEP progress is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience with equity compensation plans.
• Experience with Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE equity platform is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and analytical.
• Strong Excel skills.
• CEP designation or progress towards it is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily operations of equity compensation programs using the Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE platform.
• Coordinate and process equity transactions, including grants, exercises, releases, and terminations.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding equity awards, tax treatment, and use of the Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE portal.
• Maintain compliance with global regulatory requirements, tax rules, and company policies by partnering with Legal, Tax, Payroll, and Accounting teams to reconcile data and reporting.
• Assist the Finance team with quarterly stock-based compensation reporting and other equity-related reporting as needed.
• Liaise with Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE to resolve system issues, implement upgrades, and coordinate ongoing plan enhancements.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and process overviews.
• Reconcile and maintain accurate participant data across HRIS, payroll, and the Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE system.

• Administer daily operations of the company’s equity compensation programs (stock options, RSUs, ESPP, and other awards) using the Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE platform
• Coordinate and process all equity transactions, including grants, exercises, releases, and terminations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding equity awards, tax treatment, and use of the Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE portal

Requirements
