Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Security Architect to design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise architectures across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments.

The role drives security strategy, risk management, and compliance initiatives to protect critical information assets. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with business acumen to align security with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, while mentoring a team of security professionals

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of cybersecurity, information security, or cloud security.
• 3–5+ years designing security architectures or leading engineering initiatives.
• Experience implementing enterprise security controls and securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise cybersecurity architecture aligned with business and tech strategies.
• Develop secure architectures for cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Create and maintain security standards, reference architectures, and technical design docs.
• Perform threat modeling and security reviews for new systems and infrastructure.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend security controls and solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize security controls across networks, systems, endpoints, apps, and cloud platforms.
• Lead deployment and integration of SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR/XDR, IAM, and vulnerabilities platforms.
• Develop and automate security processes using scripting and IaC.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and cloud teams to embed security in solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
• Identify gaps and remediation strategies; ensure regulatory compliance (NIST CSF, 800-53/171/172, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2).
• Provide architectural guidance during incidents; support incident response and threat hunting.
• Mentor junior engineers; present risk assessments and strategic initiatives to leadership.
