Qualifications

• 2+ years of writing similar content at a major publication or as a sell-side or buy-side analyst.
• Knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies.
• Strong journalistic writing and research skills.
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-intensity newsroom environment.
• Collaborative teamwork with analysts and reporters.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities through deep research and financial analysis of companies and market trends.
• Reach out to C-suite executives and analysts to gather firsthand insights.
• Explain investment ideas clearly on-air and in written research for CNBC audiences.
• Collaborate with the analytics team to coordinate research and share insights.
• Assess impact of technology, regulation, and macroeconomics on ideas.
