Job summary

Point72’s Fundamental Equities is seeking a data-driven analyst in San Francisco to help analyze a broad universe of data and influence investment ideas. You will design data products and predictive models enabling KPI analysis and forward-looking metrics, while exploring innovative approaches to extract insights from complex datasets.

You’ll develop automated systems to ingest and analyze diverse data in real-time, scale data infrastructure, and maintain modular code and pipelines for

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher.
• Quantitative ability demonstrated through coursework or work.
• Experience with diverse data types including structured, unstructured, and time-series data.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts applied to large datasets.
• Strong coding skills in Python/R and familiarity with Git.

Responsibilities

• Analyze a broad universe of data to influence idea generation and investment decisions.
• Design, build, and maintain data products and predictive models for KPIs and forward-looking metrics.
• Investigate innovative approaches to extract meaningful information from complex datasets.
• Develop automated, real-time data ingest and analysis pipelines for actionable insights.
• Optimize and scale data infrastructure for high-volume data streams.
• Write modular, well-documented code and data pipelines; ensure reproducibility.
• Stay current with firm-approved technologies and collaborate with Compliance.
