Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking an Equipment Coordinator for its Dallas-area equipment yard. The role focuses on supervising shipping/receiving, tracking assets, and coordinating trucking and related services to support field operations.

Reporting to the Equipment Division Manager, the coordinator ensures DOT compliance, processes invoices, and maintains accurate equipment records while guiding a team of operators and support staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in equipment yard, fleet operations or construction environment preferred.
• Experience with shipping/receiving, equipment transfers, inventory tracking and invoicing processes.
• Familiarity with permits for hauling overweight/over-width/over-hang/specialized equipment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping and receiving of material and equipment.
• Coordinate scheduling and dispatch of haul trucks and services.
• Maintain equipment inventory reports and conduct DOT-related filings.
• Review and code invoices; manage transfers to ensure proper billing and asset control.
• Obtain permits for overweight, over-width, and other hauling needs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support job sites with equipment needs and timely service.
