Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking an Equipment Coordinator at our Southwest Dallas equipment yard to oversee shipping, receiving, and asset tracking, ensuring safe, timely, and cost‑effective operations in support of field projects.

Reporting to the Equipment Division Manager, you will handle DOT compliance, driver records, invoicing, permits, and inventory, while coordinating haul scheduling and subcontractor services across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment yard or fleet operations preferred.
• Experience with shipping/receiving, transfers, inventory, invoicing.
• Familiarity with hauling permits and DOT rules.
• Understanding of equipment rentals and asset management.
• Ability to review and code invoices for billing and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Logistical planning and dispatch of haul trucks.
• Code and track transfers to protect company assets.
• Manage hauling and service operations supporting field ops.
• Maintain market price data for pricing decisions.
• Coordinate with departments and job sites for equipment needs; assist with billing questions.
• Maintain DOT files and driver paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
