Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking an Equipment Trainer to train and certify warehouse staff as qualified equipment operators. The role covers training, testing (written and physical), safety compliance, and record-keeping in a high-accuracy, high-safety environment.

The trainer will certify operators on turret, reach, dock truck, and electric pallet jack, conduct OSHA trainings, and maintain documentation. Strong communication and bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors)
• Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
• Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
• Certified on all equipment
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred
• Intermediate computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to speak in front of others and provide training daily
• Trainer certification
• Yard spotter certification
• Battery changer certification
• TSP 6000, SP 3000 certifications
• Able to remain standing for long periods
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete equipment trainer/turret operator training course written exam and hands-on evaluation.
• Certify turret, reach, dock truck, and electric pallet jack operations.
• Ensure safe handling of equipment at all times.
• Follow operating guidelines and safety expectations for all equipment.
• Maintain 6" flue space in racking while pallets are placed.
• Meet KPI standards for pallets per hour after training.
• Perform tasks in a timely, systematic manner.
• Conduct equipment operator evaluations and certification training.
• Provide daily reminders of safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Lead monthly OSHA training and maintain accurate records.
• Perform facility safety evaluations and audits weekly.
• Update Equipment Training Matrix and circulate to management.
