Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. seeks an Equipment Technician to diagnose, service and repair a variety of rental equipment including pressure washers, trenchers, generators, aerators, trailers, and small engines.

You will perform preventive maintenance and inspect gear for wear, damage, and proper operation. You will document work orders, maintain maintenance logs, and coordinate with store management and field teams to ensure timely turnaround.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years experience in small engine repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of rental equipment including pressure washers, trenchers, generators, aerators, and small engines.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all rental assets to manufacturer and company standards.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage, wear, and proper operation; complete repair orders and documentation accurately.
• Maintain organized service records, parts usage, and maintenance logs in the company’s tracking system.
• Coordinate with store management and field support teams to ensure timely turnaround of equipment.
• Assist with fleet condition assessments, warranty repairs, and vendor service coordination as needed.
• Adhere to all safety policies and environmental standards while maintaining a clean and professional workspace.
• Support training and mentorship of new associates on proper equipment handling and safety procedures.
• Provide feedback to leadership regarding recurring issues, parts needs, or design improvements.
• Customer Service- Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures and programs
• In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for other duties as assigned
