Job summary

Leppo Rents in Tallahassee is hiring Technicians/Mechanics of all experience levels to service and repair a range of equipment, from skid steers to telehandlers. We value hands-on experience, a quick diagnostic mindset, and a customer-first approach as you help keep our rental fleet running.

You'll diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, perform routine maintenance, and mentor teammates across Parts, Service, Sales and Rental to keep the shop moving forward.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience repairing and servicing equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, telehandlers, and more.
• Ability to troubleshoot quickly, diagnose accurately, and get machines back to work.
• Customer-first mindset; technicians represent Leppo in every interaction.
• A team player who supports shop operations and keeps the workflow moving.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on compact construction equipment — mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Handle routine maintenance to keep the rental fleet ready to work.
• Use computer-based diagnostic tools to troubleshoot efficiently.
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records and manage work orders.
• Mentor and collaborate with teammates across Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental.
