Job summary

Stryker Group is seeking an Equipment Technician in Chandler, AZ to maintain production and factory support equipment, perform preventive/corrective maintenance, and assist with installations. The role includes basic trades such as electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, plus support for R&D engineers.

You will perform daily facility checklists, manage work orders, and use PM software, energy management tools, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related manufacturing experience.
• High school Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/repair equipment, assist with new installations, and support R&D/engineering teams.

Job description

Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm, OT as needed.

What you will do

The Equipment Technician is responsible for ensuring that the production and factory support equipment is maintained in consistent, reliable condition to include preventative/corrective maintenance, light custodial duties, modifications, repairs, as well as basic trades such as electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.In addition, job duties include providing manufacturing engineering support to R&D engineers.

• Daily completion of Facility checklist, response to work orders, and complete forms for corrective maintenance.
• Utilize applications and software for equipment maintenance, AC control, work order monitoring, purchasing parts, entering safety information, tracking chemical usage, training, document retrieval, and spare parts management.
• Maintaining wet processing equipment and ultrasonic generators, chemical delivery systems, vacuum dryers, pneumatic assembly and disassembly fixtures, and warehouse equipment such as bay doors, pallet wrappers, boxing machines and label makers.
• Support new equipment installations by unloading trucks, moving equipment, piping work.
• Maintains Preventative Maintenance System through accurate logs and written records
• Preventative maintenance of factory support equipment including HVAC system and controls, hot and cold water distribution systems, air compressor, electrical rooms, loading docks, forklifts, and high pressure washers.
• Handle chemicals as needed to support operations. Wearing Personal Protective Equipment required.
• Works independently or in teams and communicates effectively within all levels of the organization. Provide assistance on cross functional teams that can include safety, lean manufacturing, lab technicians, quality, engineering and operations.
• Assist other team members at other sites as needed in case of call outs, vacations or where additional manpower is needed such as special events.

• Understanding of the general principles of electrical/mechanical applications preferred
• Ability to work in multiple programs such as outlook, Excel, Preventative Maintenance s/w, energy management, and Work Order management systems.

$28.01 - $38.75/hr + $1.00 Shift differential plus bonus potential and benefits.
