Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join a manufacturing team ensuring safe, reliable production equipment operation. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting industrial systems, and supporting automated equipment and robotics where applicable.

The ideal candidate will read schematics and drawings, perform preventive maintenance, and help train newer technicians.

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting 480-volt electrical systems.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Robotics or automated equipment experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment and production machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Troubleshoot motors, sensors, controls, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining automated and robotic equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Use electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production downtime in a timely manner.
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and work orders.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work closely with production and other maintenance team members to keep equipment operating efficiently.
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Help train and mentor less-experienced maintenance employees and apprentices.

Pay: Starting at $34.20/hour
Shift Premium: Additional $0.85/hour for off-shift work
Schedule: Multiple shifts available, including 12-hour A/B shifts

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join a manufacturing team supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and minimizing equipment downtime. Experience with robotics and automated manufacturing equipment is a plus.

  • Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining 480-volt electrical systems is required.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics preferred
  • PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
  • Robotics or automated equipment experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work the assigned shift and overtime/weekends as required
