Job summary

NES Fircroft in Carlsbad, NM, seeks an Equipment Tech to join the Reliability and Maintenance Group. The role bases in the Delaware Basin and includes truck and tools provided, with a focus on maintaining high‑speed compressors and rotating equipment.

You will support safety, environmental compliance and production goals by executing maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical issues and managing work orders to maximize uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience on rotating equipment.
• Experience with high‑speed compressors and engines (500–2500 HP).
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and basic automation/electrical tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve safety, environmental and production goals.
• Execute high‑speed compressor maintenance and related practices.
• Manage tools, equipment and parts for maintenance tasks.
• Backlog management to sustain uptime and reliability.
• Provide technical input to reduce costs and improve uptime.
• Coordinate contract resources with supervisor approval.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures; support cross‑functional goals.
