Job summary

Danos, LLC is seeking an Equipment Technician to support the Reliability and Maintenance Group in the New Mexico Delaware Basin. The role focuses on high-speed compressor maintenance, rotating equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and maximizing compressor uptime while upholding safety and environmental standards.

The technician performs repairs on compressors, engines, pumps, and VRUs, maintains tools and inventory, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience with rotating equipment.
  • Experience with compressors, pumps, and VRUs preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and assist root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on high-speed compressors, engines, pumps, VRUs, and other rotating equipment.
  • Execute the high-speed compressor maintenance program and established practices.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with root cause failure analysis.
  • Support surveillance to maximize uptime and throughput.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and parts inventory for compressor maintenance.
  • Manage work-order backlog to sustain reliability and uptime.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve reliability.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and audits; maintain safe working conditions.
  • Coordinate contract resources when approved by supervision.
  • Work with other teams to meet operational goals and safety standards.

Overview

The Equipment Technician role isto support the Reliability and Maintenance Group in the New Mexico Delaware Basin. This position will focus heavily on high-speed compressor maintenance, rotating equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and maximizing compressor uptime while maintaining strong safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on high-speed compressors, engines, pumps, VRUs, and other rotating equipment.
  • Execute the high-speed compressor maintenance program and established maintenance practices.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and assist with root cause failure analysis.
  • Support compression surveillance to maximize equipment uptime and throughput.
  • Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and parts inventory needed for compressor maintenance.
  • Manage work-order backlog to maintain compressor reliability and uptime.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve mechanical reliability.
  • Support compression optimization and OPEX reduction initiatives.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical equipment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including MOCs, PSSRs, procedures, and audits.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions in assigned areas.
  • Coordinate contract resources when approved by supervision.
  • Work closely with other teams and departments to meet operational and business goals.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, environmental protection, and production reliability.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment such as:
    • Compressors
    • Pumps
    • VRUs
  • Experience maintaining and repairing high-speed compressors and engines ranging from 500-2,500 HP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of oil & gas surface equipment and its applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause failure analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting automation and electrical equipment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Must meet all job requirments.
