Job summary

Total Safety U.S., Inc. is seeking an Equipment Technician to perform cleaning, calibration, repair, and testing of fixed and portable gas monitoring systems and breathing air equipment at customer sites.

The role supports maintaining the breathable air loop system and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Responsibilities include inspecting and testing SCBA gear, maintaining work areas, and completing documentation for all inspections and repairs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; an Associates degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, or related industries.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and vehicle insurance; ability to pass company insurance requirements.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to operate and test electronic safety equipment per manufacturer specs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, clean, service, reassemble and test SCBA and related breathing air equipment.
• Stock, stage, pull and prepare customer orders; maintain a clean work area.
• Inspect and maintain breathing air regulators and reducers.
• Document inspections and repairs accurately for invoicing and records.
• Perform system tests and report deficiencies with corrective actions to customers.
