Job summary

Total Safety seeks an Equipment Technician to join a safety-focused team. The role covers cleaning, calibrating and repairing fixed and portable gas monitoring systems and breathing air equipment, and supporting the breathable air loop system for clients.

Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and servicing SCBA and related equipment, maintaining clean work areas, and completing all required documentation for invoicing. Candidates need a valid driver's license and forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED. Associates degree, technical or military training strongly preferred.
• At least one (1) year of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
• Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance.
• Forklift experience preferred and must have ability to pass internal forklift certification as required.
• Demonstrated ability to operate electronic safety equipment and understand production platform shutdowns performed through fire and gas detection systems.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling and testing of various SCBA and other breathing air equipment.
• Assists in stocking shelves and preparing customer orders; maintain clean work areas.
• Performs inspection and maintenance of breathing air regulators and reducers.
• Completes documentation and data entry for inspections and repairs; obtains customer signature for invoicing.
