Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in diesel technology or related field preferred.
• Experience in Caterpillar or similar environment a plus.
• Must obtain relevant certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by following PPE and policies; complete Job Hazard Analysis before tasks.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting under supervision of Journeyman or Master Technician.
• Perform engine preventative maintenance and powertrain inspections guided by specifications.
• Test and repair electrical circuits and hydraulic systems; understand HVAC and cab components.
• Assist with undercarriage inspection and track components maintenance.
• Document service reports and use manuals to complete tasks; participate in continued development.
