Job summary

Tower Semiconductor in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking a technically skilled Equipment Technician to service Wet Etch tools and related equipment inside a fab environment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot tools, and manage parts inventory while collaborating with Production, Process, Facility teams and Engineers. After training, you’ll operate with minimal supervision and contribute to high-quality maintenance work.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Electrical or Mechanical; military or trade school with electronics/mechanical emphasis can substitute.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with equipment in the semiconductor industry.
• Hands-on experience with the listed toolsets: Akrion Rear Mount & GAMA, SCREEN DNS SU-2000 and FC-821L, SEZ 223 and 4200, FSI Mercury, LAM Sabre NeXT.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training on semiconductor production equipment.
• Operate with minimal management supervision when performing daily routines once fully trained.

Job description

As a member of the Equipment Engineering Service team at Tower Semiconductor in Newport Beach, CA, you will be responsible for the shipping, receiving, installation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of Wet Etch tools and support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform technical servicing of semiconductor Wet Etch tools and support equipment

Job Requirements

Must Have:

• AS degree in Electrical or Mechanical (Military or Trade School with an emphasis in electronics/mechanical equivalent may substitute for AS degree)
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with equipment in the semiconductor industry
• Hands-on experience with the following toolsets: Akrion Rear Mount and GAMA, SCREEN DNS SU-2000 and FC-821L, SEZ 223 and 4200, FSI Mercury, LAM Sabre NeXT.
