Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Tech at our Newberry, FL plant to inspect, maintain, and perform basic mechanical work to keep plant and mobile equipment running safely and reliably.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork, with preferred experience in welding, cutting, and fabrication. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and 2 years’ experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Positive, Team-based attitude.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy).
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Min 2 years’ experience (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and general mechanical work to support safe operation of plant and mobile equipment.
• Promote safety awareness and compliance with government regulations.
• Perform housekeeping around the plant and equipment.
• Conduct daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections.
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Tech based out of our Newberry, FL plant. This role is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and general mechanical work to support the safe and reliable operation of plant and mobile equipment.

Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform housekeeping around the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment
• Knowledge of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenance
• Additional skills and experience including welding, cutting, fabrication, etc (preferred, not required)
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
