Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Tech based out of our Canal Point, FL plant. This role maintains and inspects plant and mobile equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. Daily tasks include inspections, basic preventative maintenance, housekeeping, and collaboration with operators.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years’ experience. Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition.
• Comply with all safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
• Perform housekeeping around the plant and on heavy mobile equipment within a mining environment.
• Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain optimal performance.
• Perform and support basic preventative maintenance on production and plant equipment.
• Utilize welding, cutting, and fabrication skills where needed (preferred).
• Maintain strong communication with plant employees and equipment operators.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Tech based out of our Canal Point, FL plant. This role is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and general mechanical work to support the safe and reliable operation of plant and mobile equipment.

Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition.

Working Conditions

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
