Lutron Electronics Company, Inc is seeking an Equipment Support Technician on 1st shift at our Ashland facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the testing and manufacturing equipment used to produce our high-quality products, helping ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

You’ll work with state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and advanced test equipment, including new systems being qualified by Engineering to support the launch of next-generation

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical Technology or equivalent, OR 3+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Minimum GPA 3.00 if you have a degree.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics, drawings, part specs and SOPs.
• Troubleshooting, rebuilding and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and computer proficiency.
• Ability to read and follow English work instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide unscheduled troubleshooting and repair to manufacturing/engineering lines and document root cause and corrective actions.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment.
• Implement equipment improvement projects for safety, quality and delivery.
• Coordinate with Equipment Support Team and help reduce back log.
• Maintain equipment calibration per Lutron procedures.
• Provide feedback to Engineering on new equipment introductions.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll play an important part in keeping our manufacturing operations running at their best. You’ll maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the testing and manufacturing equipment used to produce our high‑quality products, helping ensure our processes remain safe, reliable, and efficient. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing technologies and advanced test equipment, including new systems being qualified by our Engineering team to support the launch of next‑generation products.

Responsibilities

• Provide unscheduled troubleshooting and repair of equipment to the manufacturing/engineering lines, responding to breakdowns and provide root cause and corrective actions.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on manufacturing and test equipment to maintain a safe and reliable environment.
• Implement equipment improvement projects related to equipment safety and product quality and delivery.
• Interact within the Equipment Support Team and provide status updates and aid other group members to maintain a minimal to zero work order back log.
• Maintain the equipment calibration process to comply with Lutron procedures
• Review and provide feedback to Engineering groups about new equipment being introduced into the facility

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electro‑Mechanical Technology or equivalent Degree is preferred, OR 3+ years' work experience as a Maintenance Technician with a high school diploma or GED
• If you have a degree, a minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required
• Ability to work from 6:00am- 2:30pm, Monday through Friday
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics, drawings, part specifications, and standard operating procedures
• Aptitude in troubleshooting, rebuilding, and maintaining various manufacturing equipment
• Proven organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Proven computer skills
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic communications in English
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively
• Ability to regularly lift up to 35 lbs.
• You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H‑1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.

The range for this position is dependent on the selected candidate’s experience and the level at which they are hired. Starting pay: $24.50 - $29.50 per hour; Lutron's employee benefits include 401k match, health, dental, and life insurance, paid vacation (amount based on tenure with the company), flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement programs.
