Lutron Electronics Company, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for an Equipment Support Technician on 1st shift at our Ashland, VA facility.

You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production and test equipment to keep operations safe and efficient, with access to state-of-the-art tooling and new systems being qualified for next-generation products. You will work with the Equipment Support Team to minimize backlog, perform preventative maintenance, and participate in equipment safety and

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent maintenance experience preferred.
• A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required if you have a degree.
• Ability to work 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide unscheduled troubleshooting and repair of equipment on the lines.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment.
• Implement equipment improvement projects for safety and quality.
• Collaborate with Equipment Support Team and update status regularly.
• Maintain the equipment calibration process per Lutron procedures.
• Review new equipment and provide feedback to Engineering.

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. has an immediate opportunity at our Ashland, VA facility for an Equipment Support Technician on 1st shift.

In this hands-on role, you'll play an important part in keeping our manufacturing operations running at their best. You'll maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the testing and manufacturing equipment used to produce our high-quality products, helping ensure our processes remain safe, reliable, and efficient. You'll also have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and advanced test equipment, including new systems being qualified by our Engineering team to support the launch of next-generation products.

Responsibilities

• Provide unscheduled troubleshooting and repair of equipment to the manufacturing/engineering lines, responding to breakdowns and provide root cause and corrective actions.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on manufacturing and test equipment to maintain a safe and reliable environment.
• Implement equipment improvement projects related to equipment safety and product quality and delivery.
• Interact within the Equipment Support Team and provide status updates and aid other group members to maintain a minimal to zero work order backlog.
• Maintain the equipment calibration process to comply with Lutron procedures
• Review and provide feedback to Engineering groups about new equipment being introduced into the facility

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical Technology or equivalent Degree is preferred, OR 3+ years' work experience as a Maintenance Technician with a high school diploma or GED
• If you have a degree, a minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required
• Ability to work from 6:00am- 2:30pm, Monday through Friday
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics, drawings, part specifications, and standard operating procedures
• Aptitude in troubleshooting, rebuilding, and maintaining various manufacturing equipment
• Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proven computer skills
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic communications in English
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively
• Ability to regularly lift up to 35 lbs.
• You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.

The range for this position is dependent on the selected candidate's experience and the level at which they are hired. Starting pay: $24.50 - $29.50 per hour; Lutron's employee benefits include 401k match, health, dental, and life insurance, paid vacation (amount based on tenure with the company), flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement programs.
