Job summary

The Thompson Tractor division in Mobile, AL is seeking a Rental Store Shop Technician to perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on Thompson Rents equipment, including engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical components.

You will disassemble/reassemble, adjust for optimal performance, test components, order/return parts timely, and work independently in the shop; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of mechanical repair experience or related technical education.
• Med Card and CDL preferred.
• MVR required for hire.
• Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety standards and procedures.
• Performs minor repairs on engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical components.
• Disassembles and reassembles parts; makes minor adjustments for service.
• Performs preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Tests and adjusts components for optimal performance.
• Orders and returns parts in a timely manner.
• Works independently in the shop.
