Job summary

Sundt is hiring a Service/Telematics Planner in Tempe, AZ. The role supports the Equipment Services department with system administration, telematics coordination, preventative maintenance, and data accuracy across multiple platforms.

You’ll liaise with field technicians, mechanics, accounting, and management to ensure efficient maintenance and billing workflows. Qualified candidates will have JD Edwards experience, PM/work order management familiarity, and strong Excel/Outlook skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively with field technicians, mechanics, accounting, and management.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JOE) Enterprise One; Heavy Job experience preferred.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs, equipment servicing workflows, and work order management.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in heavy equipment dealership operations, construction equipment management, contractor or fleet maintenance environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook required).
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment operations, maintenance cycles, and utilization tracking.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Equipment Services department with system administration, IT support, and process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate telematics devices across the heavy equipment fleet (Vision Link, JD Link, iCraneTrax).
• Ensure equipment data accuracy across all related mobile and web applications.
• Maintain data across OEM and fleet management platforms (CAT, CAT Inspect).
• Maintain fuel and DEF inventories, entries, month end reporting.
• Maintain machine control and survey gear inventory, including transfers and documentation.
• Monitor PM service work orders, assign to technicians, track status, and close timely.
• Process equipment-related invoices (fuel, DEF, telematics) for inventory and payment.
• Perform month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support field lube technicians and mechanics with JD Edwards questions, training, and troubleshooting.
