Job summary

DPR Construction in Monroe, LA seeks a Service and Repair Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair rental equipment, ensuring safety and reliability for our fleet. This role supports both shop-based and limited field service, prioritizing repairs with branch leadership and maintaining accurate work orders.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of equipment service experience, a valid driver’s license, and an OSHA 10 certification. CDL is preferred as additional qualification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of equipment service, repair, or related mechanical field experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• OSHA 10‑Hour General Industry certification required.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel‑powered rental equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance and OEM‑recommended service schedules.
• Troubleshoots issues, identifies repair scope, and escalates complex failures when needed.
• Generates and closes work orders with diagnostics, labor, parts usage, and outcomes.
• Maintains OSHA/EHS safety standards and proper PPE usage.
• Assists with parts ordering, inventory, and repair prioritization with branch staff.
