Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a Service and Repair Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair rental equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. The role supports both shop-based and limited field service, prioritizing repairs to meet business needs.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in equipment service or related mechanical field, a High School diploma or GED, and OSHA 10 certification. CDL is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in equipment service or related mechanical field.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel-powered rental equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Performs preventive maintenance and OEM-recommended service schedules to maintain fleet health and compliance.
• Generates, updates, and closes work orders documenting diagnostics, labor, parts usage, and repair outcomes.
• Maintains compliance with OSHA, OES EHS, and site safety standards while ensuring proper use of PPE and safe repair practices.
• Assists with parts ordering, stock management, and inventory organization.
• Collaborates with branch staff and operations teams to prioritize production equipment repairs based on fleet demand.
