Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment at customer sites in Monroe, LA.

You will utilize your mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel expertise to ensure safe operations and satisfy customer needs. The role requires 3–5 years of repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Own tools applicable to position
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of engines
• Superior customer service and verbal/written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed
