Job summary

DistributionNOW in Midland, TX is seeking a skilled field technician to tear down, inspect, diagnose and repair customer equipment. You will maintain inspection paperwork, follow procedures, and keep a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities include painting and sandblasting, plus using inspection equipment as needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read a tape measure, good communication skills, and the stamina to work

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude with drills, grinders and shop tools.
• Ability to use, read and interpret a tape measure.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Organized; Detail-Oriented.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Basic computer/laptop skills.
• Must be able to physically lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must have current, valid drivers license and acceptable record at all times.

Responsibilities

• Tear down, inspect, diagnose and repair customers equipment.
• Maintain proper and accurate paperwork including completion of inspection documentation.
• Follow documented procedures and maintain a high degree of quality.
• Perform housekeeping, organization, and maintenance of work area and tools.
• Painting and sandblasting of product.
• Perform inspection of products using inspection equipment applicable to the task.
• In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required.
• Function as a team member and support other teams.
• Ensure company policies are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.
