Job summary

Gillman Home Center is seeking a Rental Manager for our New Castle, IN location to oversee all equipment rental operations. You will manage inventory, handle rental contracts, perform repairs and maintenance, and ensure safety and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include coordinating pickups/deliveries, processing transactions, monitoring equipment, and maintaining reports, with a focus on reliable operations and team collaboration in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical expertise is a must for this position.
• Valid driver's license; For-Hire Endorsement not required but preferred.
• Stihl power equipment experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and direct rental operations for the assigned location.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory and act as a technical adviser on equipment issues.
• Assist customers at point of sale and during rentals.
• Open and close rental contracts and process rental transactions.
• Inspect equipment for damage, fuel levels, missing parts and cleanliness.
• Monitor and track equipment; manage reminders for contract return timelines.
• Coordinate repairs/maintenance and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports; assist with store maintenance as needed.
