Gillman Home Center in Muncie, IN is seeking a Rental Manager to plan, coordinate and direct the retail rental operations across equipment lines. You will maintain up-to-date inventory, advise on equipment issues and deliver strong customer service at the point of sale and on-site pickups and deliveries.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, solid organizational ability, and proficiency with computer systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Mechanical expertise is a must for this position.
• Valid drivers license; For-Hire Endorsement not required but preferred.
• Stihl power equipment experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and direct rental operations at the assigned location.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory and act as a technical adviser on equipment issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with rental transactions at point of sale.
• Deliver and pick up rental equipment as needed.
• Open and close rental contracts and process transactions.
• Inspect equipment for damage, fuel levels, and cleanliness; charge fees when necessary.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies; coordinate repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare reports and maintain a rental down list and related records.
• Assist with cross-store tasks as needed.
