Job summary

Qnity in Newark, Delaware is seeking an experienced reliability engineer to help optimize equipment availability and performance across our manufacturing facilities. You will act as SME during root cause investigations, guide troubleshooting, and lead downtime RCIs while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering to drive continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving and strong communication to influence changes on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing/engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving and task-prioritization skills.
• Ability to lead with influence across operations, maintenance and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for equipment failures and root cause investigations.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and repair guidance for critical equipment.
• Lead or participate in downtime RCIs and improve MTBF.
• Support PSM elements and input on turnaround work orders.
• Lead unit-level OEE programs and drive continuous improvement.
