Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a detail-oriented billing professional to issue POs, reconcile invoices, and process service documents. You will maintain customer order status, coordinate with vendors, and keep customers informed about shipping timelines.

The role supports equipment fulfillment with a focus on accuracy and timely communication. Ideal candidates bring a certificate and 3+ years of billing experience, plus a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• One-year college or technical school certificate with 3+ years of billing experience.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience is valued.
• Participate in lean improvements activities and contribute to process efficiency.
• Must have strong communication, proactive with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders and reconcile PO issues/invoices.
• Process documents for service work requests and freight claims.
• Prepare and update customer job/order status sheets.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Assist with new order credit approval process.
• Obtain ship dates from Trane and vendors and update schedules.
• Communicate shipping updates to customers.
• Distribute IOMs to customers and manage manuals.
• Assist with distribution and receipt of submittals.
• Support general administrative functions to aid equipment fulfillment.

Where is the work:

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

What you will do:

• Responsible for issuing purchase orders and reconciling purchase order issues/ invoice reconciliation.
• Process documents for service work requests and freight claims.
• Prepare and update customer job/ order status sheets.
• Communicate effectively with other team members.
• Assist with new order credit approval process.
• Obtain Trane and vendor estimated ship dates and update appropriate schedules.
• Assist with communication to customers regarding shipping updates.
• Forward warranty standard documents to customers.
• Manage receipt of installation operation and maintenance manuals (IOMs).
• Distribute IOMs to customers.
• Assist with distribution and receipt of submittals.
• Responsible for general administrative functions to support the equipment fulfillment process.

What you will bring:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and three (3) plus years of related billing experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
• Participate in and contribute to lean improvements activities.
• Must have strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems preferred not required.
• Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$63,491.66 - $89,214.99
