Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a project management professional to join our HVAC equipment team. The role focuses on validating scope, generating submittals, and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and owners on project execution.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and supplier communications, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction and adherence to processes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent with 2+ years in project management or HVAC.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature equipment preferred.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Validate project scope, list deviations, and optimize on assigned projects.
• Generate project submittals and answer technical questions from engineers and contractors.
• Communicate with customers and representatives to maintain satisfaction and address concerns.
• Compare estimated ship dates with project schedules and ensure compliance with ordering processes.

Where Is The Work

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

• What you will do:

• Validates project scope, listing deviations, and optimization on assigned projects.
• Generates project submittals and answers technical support questions asked by engineers and contractors.
• Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff. Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
• Compares estimated ship dates with contractors project schedule and ensures compliance with internal equipment ordering processes.
• Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion and controls expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.
• Responsible for entering equipment orders, issuing purchase, and generating work orders for equipment start-ups
• Able to use necessary computer programs and selection software (i.e. Worksight, Trane Select Assist, vendor selection software/websites, etc.)

• What you will bring:

• Associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of project management, equipment, HVAC or related experience; OR a minimum of four (4) years of project management, equipment, HVAC or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature equipment preferred.
• Strong, demonstrated customer service and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high paced environment with attention to detail.
