Job summary

Morgantown Utility Board is seeking an experienced equipment operator to assist in water and sewer construction and repair projects. You will excavate, move and grade earth using bulldozers, backhoes and other heavy equipment, install main lines and service lines, and ensure safety standards are followed.

Qualified candidates have a Class A or B CDL, at least 5 years of hands-on equipment experience, and the ability to work overtime or respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• 5+ years experience operating construction equipment.
• Knowledge of distribution and collection systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operates construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth for water and sewer lines.
• Performs main line maintenance excavation and installation.
• Leak repair and service line installations of various types/sizes.
• Recognizes unsafe conditions and resolves them while following safety standards.
• On-call hours as established by Department head.
