Job summary

Burdick Materials, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to operate loaders, back hoes, track hoes, and haul trucks safely and efficiently. The role requires awareness of slopes, utility locates, and routine maintenance.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prior heavy equipment experience. MSHA and driver’s license are preferred. Expect physical tasks on outdoor job sites and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous heavy equipment operation experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and buried lines before digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to supervisor.
• Keep time and material records.
• Understand aggregate sizes and load weights.
• Travel to various locations as needed.
