Job summary

Burdick Materials, a CRH Company, in Roosevelt, UT, seeks an Equipment Operator/Laborer to safely and efficiently operate loaders, backhoes and other construction equipment on transportation projects.

The role requires following safety protocols, assisting laborers, and performing minor maintenance while recording time and materials. GED preferred; heavy equipment experience and MSHA/license preferred. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy equipment operation preferred.
• Ability to read simple instructions and perform basic math.
• MSHA certification and valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.
