Job summary

The City of Naperville is seeking Equipment Operators to perform skilled and semi-skilled manual labor in maintaining streets, sidewalks, parks, and related facilities while operating light and heavy equipment.

Outdoor year-round work with potential after-hours duties for snow removal and emergencies; regular hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applicants must have CDL and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance or construction experience; concrete rehab/install preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Class A CDL with Air Brake and Tanker Endorsements or willingness to obtain within 3 months; must have a good driving record.
• Applicants must submit a driving record abstract evidencing your driver's history for all endorsements you may have.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment for construction and maintenance activities.
• Perform outdoor, year-round labor including snow removal and emergency duties.
• Work a 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. schedule, Monday to Friday.
