Farwest is seeking an Equipment Operator 2 (Amada laser operator) for our Boise, Idaho facility. You will operate laser equipment and supporting machinery to produce high-quality parts while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Starting wage ranges with experience are offered, and the role emphasizes attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and teamwork in a production environment. This is a full-time onsite position with benefits and opportunities for growth within the Farwest network.

Qualifications

• 1 year of laser experience and ability to read production orders/technical documents.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Amada laser and other machinery to meet production goals.
• Ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met for each order.
• Verify job priority, material selection, and machine settings for optimal performance.
• Make necessary adjustments, including program edits, to improve efficiency and quality.
• Conduct first-part inspections to ensure tolerances and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform regular predictive maintenance to maintain equipment efficiency and uptime.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist in other warehouse duties as required.

About this Position

Job Type: Full Time, Onsite
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

Starting Wage: $20.65 - $29.40, depending on experience
