Job summary

SiteOne Landscape Supply is seeking an Equipment Operator in Virginia to safely operate heavy equipment including front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, and excavators. The role requires lifting 50+ pounds and working under varying weather conditions.

Ideal candidates have experience in landscaping or irrigation. You will assist with material handling, inventory, and order fulfillment while maintaining daily logs and equipment checklists.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work in extreme weather (heat, cold, snow, rain).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in landscape, hardscape, forestry, nursery, or irrigation is a plus.
• Ability to read and write to record daily logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, excavators) safely and proficiently per policies.
• Maintain and clean equipment as scheduled; report repairs.
• Communicate equipment needs to branch leadership for maintenance/repairs.
• Assist with receiving materials, inventory, order processing, and other general labor duties.
