Qualifikationen

• Valid North Dakota Class A driver license without air brake restrictions and a cargo tank endorsement (N) by the first day of work.
• Two years of relevant experience or one year of experience and one season of winter operations similar to NDDOT.
• For Equipment Operator I: valid North Dakota Class B driver license without air brake restrictions.
• If no preferred experience, consider Equipment Operator in Training with Class A permit and cargo-tank endorsement (N) within 12 months.
• Military MOS codes (e.g., 88M, 12N, 3E2X1) may substitute for work experience on a year-for-year basis.

Aufgaben

• Operate heavy equipment to perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance.
• Install, repair, and maintain highway signs and guardrails; use power tools as needed.
• Maintain roadways by removing litter, debris, and hazards and perform building and ground upkeep.
• Complete routine maintenance on vehicles, maintain paperwork (time records, diaries, road reports).
• Receive training and perform construction duties under supervision; maintain safe work environment.
